ABOUT THE SHOW

The Aquarium takes viewers behind the scenes at the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere - Atlanta's Georgia Aquarium. The Aquarium focuses on the care given to the thousands of individual animals that call the 10 million gallons of water at the aquarium home, and the bonds the staff form with them. The series follows the day-to-day activities of the aquarium's biologists, researchers and trainers as they interact with rescued Southern sea otters and sea lions, endangered African penguins, massive whale sharks and more. Georgia Aquarium is more than a place for people to see fish: it's also a world leader in conservation, and the series documents the aquarium's ongoing efforts to protect aquatic species in the wild. For the first time, the Georgia Aquarium is allowing the remarkable stories that unfold there to be captured to show just what a critical role it plays in conservation throughout the world. The Aquarium is shot on location in Georgia.
